Sculpture of the Americas

The MFA's collection of sculpture from the Americas features works ranging from the late 18th through the 20th centuries. Artists have cut, carved, gouged, and cast sculpture in a range of media, exploring both figuration and abstraction. Among the strengths of the collection is figurative sculpture made in the 19th century, with significant works by female artists including Anna Vaughn Hyatt Huntington and Harriet Goodhue Hosmer.
