Jewelry Design

A large gift of design drawings and photographs from Trabert & Hoeffer-Mauboussin has deepened our understanding of how the American firm’s jewelry was designed, produced, and retailed. Similarly, collections of drawings and archival material related to Seaman Schepps and Boston artist Frank Gardner Hale, as well as contemporary examples that correspond directly to jewelry in our collection, greatly inform the design and making process. The Museum also holds signature examples of historic jewelry designs.
