Description
In this impression, the bottom right corner of the plate has been abraded out and a new etched scene has been inserted by another hand, showing a shepherd and shepherdess with goats, a sheep, and a cow, and a mountain peak in the background. This was presumably done much later than the original print, for the shepherd and shepherdess are in eighteenth-century costume.
ProvenanceAnonymous gift. (Accession Date: June 12, 1891)
