ProvenanceBy 1928: with Dikran G. Kelekian, Paris (said to come from el-Amarna) (1); 1928: Denman Waldo Ross Collection, given to the MFA by Denman Waldo Ross.

(1) "Joe Smith saw it in Kelekian's shop in Paris, and advised him to bring it over to the U.S.A., since when Dr. Ross has bought it. Kelekian says it comes from Tell el Amarna, but I could not get from him anything like proof of that statement; merely that he was so informed when he picked it up" (Dows Dunham to Dr. Reisner, February 22, 1928).
