NOTE: According to Rhousopoulos, this had been "found at Tripoliza in Arcadia. Once the property of the famous Bouboulina. It was sold by auction at Nauplia and bought by Mavrokephalos the notary--who has the documents of the sale. He sold it to the goldsmith Mastrogiorgiou," from whom Rhousopoulos acquired it. This account of the cameo's provenance has not been verified.
