Upper left: Bob–check the over-all lightness of the mock-up and try to get that even if you need to return to 1st plate–2nd plate has more detail but less light!/ Try more transparency in gold.
Clockwise from upper right: get rid of this line [crossed out in green crayon]; eliminate gold in this section; reduce size; find some light in here; scrape into gold to push it back; get lower whites back; eliminate gold. get back texture underneath.; open up gold a bit; scratch thin "rain" lines in gold plate to integrate two plates better; bring back whites underneath as in mock-up; scrape out rain lines over swirl; eliminate; scrape back gold a bit to push back "rain"; make rain lines more delicate; eliminate gold; keep black line from showing.
Along bottom: #1 Gold Full no lt base—Full up is probably better in long run.
Verso, upper right: Corrections for "Genesis" gold was not used as publisher doubted archival properties/ MMProvenanceThe artist, by whom given to the Museum of Fine Arts, 14 December 2005
