InscriptionsCurdely chased lines form C/IE on bottom. Heavily chased and engraved H/IM on side. Hall scratched twice on bottom and 1790 three times.ProvenanceIn 1772, owned by Jacob (b. 1749) and Mary Hall, Medford, Massachusetts, great-grandparents of the donor. (1) Descended to their son, Jacob (b. September 21, 1773) and his wife Mary; to Jacob II's sisters, Mary and Elizabeth Hall: thence to their grand-niece, Mary Elizabeth Lombard of Boston; 1913, given by Miss Lombard to the MFA. (Accession date: May 1, 1913 )
