Description
Like Alexander Calder, with whom he exhibited jewelry on several occasions, sculptor and designer Harry Bertoia made jewelry using hammered wire. The shapes of his jewelry referred to-without literally rendering-the forms and movement of organic life, such as plants, sea creatures, or amoebas.
