InscriptionsEngraved on cover, the arms of Tighe with Bor in pretence and motto: "NON SIBI SED PATRIAE SUMMUM NEC METUAM DIEM NEC OPEM" for the Rt. Hon Richard Tighe (1678-1739) who married Barbara daughter and co-heiress of Christian Bor, Esq. of Drinagh co. Wexford. Engraved on underside, the arms of kilkenny with motto: INSGNIA ARMORUM CIVITATIS KILKENNIENSIS
