[1] On July 6, 1953, Sigmund Katz wrote to Kathryn Buhler, "I now have one [quail tureen] acquired this year and catalogued as Chelsea by Sotheby and its mate in the Museum at Bedford (in the Cecil Higgins collection) is also catalogued as Chelsea, which we believe to be Longton Hall." From June 25, 1973, on loan to the MFA from Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund Katz.
