InscriptionsMARKS: in the same locations on both buckles. on one side of buckle, maker's mark IW in cursive in a rectangle (similar to Grimwade 1756, but initials are closer together and there doesn't seem to be a pellet between); date letter G (1802/3). on other side of buckle, lion passant; obscured mark, looks like sovereign's head. ***no leopard's head that I can see.
