ProvenanceBy about 1930, Princes of Liechtenstein, Vienna [see note]. 1957, sold by Leopold Blumka (dealer), New York, to the MFA for $1,200. (Accession Date: March 14, 1957)

NOTE: Liechtenstein inventory numbers "D. 941 / P. inv. no. 102" remain on the inside of the tureen. Arthur Stoegmann of the Princely Collections of Liechtenstein kindly confirmed that the tureen was shown in the Liechtenstein Gallery in Vienna around 1930.
