InscriptionsInscribed in ink on a paper label affixed to the underside of the foot: "This wineglass was brought from England to Boston about the year 1760. The sett to which it belonged were the first wineglasses ever brought to Boston. Crowds came to see them."

John Winslow (b. 1753 - d. 1819), Boston; to his daughter, Elizabeth Jane Winslow (Mrs. James Fullerton) Trott (b. 1792 – d. 1875), Boston; to her daughter, Rosanna Gardner Trott (Mrs. John Franklin) Lindsay (b. 1821 – d. 1898), York, SC; to her son, John Robert Lindsay (b. 1857 – d. 1923), York; by descent within the Lindsay family; 2016, gift the Lindsay family to the MFA.
