The entrance to Chichibu-jinsha, a venerated Shinto Shrine, is reproduced aboard the M.V. CHICHIBU MARU, for it is from this shrine that the ship receives its name. The entrance is pictured here, looking outward from the veranda. The CHICHIBU MARU is one of three new motor liners in the N.Y.K. Line's California-Orient service.
