Description
Helena Rubinstein was a Polish-American entrepreneur, art collector and style icon who built a revolutionary cosmetics empire, and became one of the wealthiest and most culturally influential women in the world. Rubinstein believed beauty was an overall life aesthetic which could be achieved through skincare and cosmetics as well as art, fashion, and jewelry. While she never sold jewelry in her salons, Helena Rubinstein was known for her exquisite jewelry collection, which featured both rare and precious pieces with unique provenance, as well as inexpensive flea market finds. Shortly after her death, Helena Rubinstein Inc. honored its founder’s legacy by opening a jewelry division, which sold both costume and fine merchandise. The enamel earrings were produced in the 1980s and sold at the Helena Rubinstein boutique in Paris, alongside the brand’s makeup and fragrances.
