Desmoni also lent it to the exhibition “Nineteenth Century Jewelry” (Cooper Union Museum for the Arts of Decoration, New York, 1955). In 1960, he sold much of his Renaissance jewelry collection at auction, and probably sold this pendant at around the same time.
