Description
The shapes of pewter relate directly to contemporaneous English silver, ceramics, and glass. Representing regional production, a flat-lidded tankard from Birmingham is an excellent example of Samuel Turnpenny’s work with its ram’s horn thumbpiece and handle terminal.
