Description

Advertised as a vegetable dish, and offered in various sizes as wedding silver through the showrooms of the Society of Arts and Crafts, this form was a stock item. Nonetheless, this dish is believed to be solely by the master’s hand, for only his mark appears on the base. Although Stone employed several assistants during this period, his reliance on them to fabricate and spin work to meet increasing demands changed gradually.
