Robert T. Freeman
Robert T. Freeman (American, born 1946)
After spending much of his youth in Ghana and Ethiopia, New York City-born Robert Freeman received his MFA from Boston University in 1981, and was artist-in-residence at the Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, MA from 1981 until 2006. Freeman utilized expressive figures and a restricted palette to explore African American middle class culture. Inspired by recent travels to the Mediterranean, Freeman has embarked on a series of impressionistic landscapes capturing the summer light and countryside.
