Wilfredo Chiesa

Source: www.findlay.com: Born in Puerto Rico, Wilfredo Chiesa came to Boston in 1978. In 1979 he began teaching at the University of Massachusetts, where he is currently Professor of Art. His work has been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries throughout North and South America including: The Art Museum, University of Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico; Casas Las Americas, Havana, Cuba; Museo de Arte Moderno, Bogota, Colombia; Museum of Contemporary Hispanic Art, New York; Harbor Gallery, University of Massachusetts, Boston; Children's Museum, Boston. Chiesa's work is included in many museum collections, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; The New York Public Library; Harvard University, Cambridge; Museum of Modern Art, Sao Paulo, Brazil; Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris; Istituto per la Cultura de l'Arte, Catania, Italy.
