Richard Lubbaeus

Born: Wibelsburen bij Emden (East Friesland), probably 1580-85.

Author of a number of Latin poems

Rector of the Latin school Bergen op Zoom (see Nieuwe Taalgids, vol. 71, 225-7). Appointed late 1610 or early 1611.

Married to Aeltken Geeraets (a.k.a. Alitha Gerrits). Four children (two daughters and two sons) born in the years 1611-17.

Re-married 7 October 1626 (then described as "widower from Embderlandt") to Susanne van Meenen (originally from Breda but living in Bergen op Zoom). Two daughters born 1627 and 1629.

Died second half of 1651.
