Guy Deel
1950: Went to work in an animation studio in Dallas.
1952: Offered a scholarship to Art Center School , and moved to Los Angeles.
1955: Graduated from Art Center, and moved to New York City. Created recruiting posters for the U.S. Army based on Governor's Island.
1957: Worked in NYC doing story illustrations for glossy magazines, and ad campaigns for various NYC agencies.
1962: Returned to Los Angeles to continue work as an illustrator for magazines and books. Became involved with television and movies.
Freelanced for Neiman Marcus.
1974: Worked for Walt Disney Studios, both as a story board artist, and as a designer of titles. Worked on layouts for Disney films. Spent four years working as a consultant to EPCOT, and painted works for the American Pavilion at EPCOT.
Specialized in western scenes. Created 138' mural for theme court of the
Autry Museum of Western Art.
Continued to work in the movie industry, and for Disney.
Worked on a mural to be completed in 2003 to celebrate 100th anniversary of Irving, Texas where he was born.
