Miss Katherine Bigelow

Oldest daughter of Lucy Prescott of Groton, Massachusetts and Timothy Bigelow (1767-1821). Timothy Bigelow graduated from Harvard in 1786 and was a lawyer in Groton until moving to Medford in 1807 and opening a law office in Boston. He was Speaker of Massachusetts House of Representatives. She married Abbott Lawrence (1792-1855) of Groton, Massachusetts on June 28, 1819, who was U.S. Minister at the Court of Saint James in London from 1849-1852.
