Robert Berlind

Robert berlind was born in Brooklyn in 1938. he received a BA in Art history at Columbia and an MFA at the Yale University School of Art in 1963, studying with notable faculty such as Alex Katz and Neil Welliver, alongside artists Rackstraw Downes, Brice Marden, Chuck Close and Janet Fish.

Robert Berlind and video artist Mary Lucier married in 1997. He died on december 17, 2015.
