"I can attribute my eye for style and color to my parents. My mother, Bacine, introduced me to those iconic effortless chic silhouettes like the caftan. My father, Leonard, who was a kind of cool Beatnik, created drip paintings in the basement of our house in Chicago.
My family also owned a successful textile company and I always planned to work there. I moved to New York City to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I immersed myself in studies of textiles, color theory, as well as fashion and art." - Lisa Perry (answer to 'how did you develop your particular design taste?')
