born in Joplin, Missouri; served in U.S. Navy during the Korean War; attended Art Center School in Wilshire district of Los Angeles; spent about a dozen years working in Philadelphia and Chicago, as an Art Director in two major agencies; worked for a toy design house and as a professor at the Chicago Art Institute; started making large scale wind toys in his house and braodened to include politcal statements and homorous events; started designing pictorial quilts that were excuted by local quilters; first art show at Horwtich Gallery in Chicago, which featured pictorial quilts and wind toys; represetned by Jan Baum in Los Angeles, Zolla Lieberman in Chicago, Hormitch in santa Fe, and Monique Knowton in New York City; lost $250,00 worth of wrok in fire at Zolla Lieberman Gallery; moved to Canyon Road in Santa Fe and at some point bought built a ranch near Cerrilos, New Mexico.
