Edith Boutilier KennedyCanadian, 1878–1966

Born in 1878 to Amos and Mary Boutilier (b. 1854 in England) of Hackett's Point in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Amos Boutilier (b. 1849 in Nova Scotia) was a fisherman by trade and his neighboring father, John F. Boutilier (b. 1823 in Nova Scotia), was a farmer. His mother, Martha, was born in England in 1827 and was Baptist, while all of other Boutiliers (including her granddaughter) were members of the Church of England.

Married James Kennedy (b. 1868 in Hubbard's Cove, Nova Scotia) on April 21, 1900 in the Church of England in Halifax. They had eight children.
