Abdülkādir Şükrî Efendi

Abdülkādir Şükrî (ʿAbd al-Qādir Shukrī) Efendi taught at the Topkapı Palace School and counted Sultan Selim III (r. 1789–1807) among his students. He was a student of Eğrikapılı Mehmed Râsim, Ayasofyalı Abdurrahman Hilmi, and Abdülkādir Hamdi, and wrote in the tradition of Hâfız Osman Efendi. Scholars disagree about the date of his death: 1806, after 1810, or after 1826.
