‘Os̱mān b. Süleymān

The calligrapher ‘Os̱mān b. Süleymān, was also known as Eyyūbī, in reference to the Eyüb neighborhood of in Istanbul. He studied nasta‘līq with Īsā-zāde ‘Abdullāh Efendī and the great master Kātib-zāde Meḥmed Refī‘ Efendī. He was also a poet and musician. He died in 1195 AH (1781 CE).
