Medium/TechniqueFritware with minai type low-temperature decoration. Overglaze Ilkhanid enamels - the Mongol successors of the earlier minai ware - were often dominated by a dark blue ground, and have been called lajvardina wares, after the color of lapis lazuli. The present much brighter palette may reflect a later taste.
