Waterhouse, (National Gallery of Scotland), this was the painting "Return from Milking" lent by Richard Brinsley Sheridan to the British Institution in 1814, but this has not been confirmed. (February 25, 1949 letter to John Mitchell Chapman). [2] The nephew of Henry Pelham Archibald Douglas Pelham-Clinton, 7th Duke of Newcastle, who inherited painting and Earldom.
