[1] According to the catalogue of the 2016 Audap-Mirabaud auction, the painting stayed with the family of the sitter. Ronald Feltkamp, Théo van Rysselberghe, 1862-1926 (Brussels and Paris: Racine and Editions de l’Amateur, 2003), pp. 88 and 344 (cat. no. 1903-11), published it as being in the Lordonnois collection.
