InscriptionsMaker's Mark: a crowned fleur-de-lis, two grains, JTV, a lily (Dennis, 336). Warden's Mark: 1778: a crowned P (Dennis, 20). Charge Mark: for small work, 1775-1781: PARIS in the form of a cipher (Dennis, 17). Other: Possibly the discharge mark for 1775-1781: a monkey's head; Guarantee mark used after 1838: a small boar's head (Tardy, p. 173). The unidentified mark and the guarantee mark are both on the exterior rim of the base and on the bobeche.
